Raven Talent Network | Raven IT Services

In answer to the many socioeconomic barriers facing marginalized IT professionals in Canada, Raven IT Services has pioneered a sector-based solution in the form of a talent database collecting profiles and information of women and indigenous IT professionals in a single, centralized platform: the Raven IT Talent Network (RITN).

This solution has two facets:

A selection of interrelated education and professionalization resources for IT workers. This facet is designed to aid women and indigenous IT professionals in acquiring competitive skills and navigating the vagaries of the IT market in Canada. Individual qualifying professionals (i.e. those who identify as women or who have demonstrable indigenous background) can enroll in the program and subsequently build their skill sets and refine their presentation for hiring committees through the program’s various resources.

A web-based portal allowing participating employers to view the profiles of enrolled IT professionals. This facet consists of a client-facing, cloud-based solution for potential employers of women and/or indigenous IT talent. As explained above, all individuals who avail themselves of the resources encompassed under (I) qualify to have their professional profiles entered into the RITN (although all participants will likewise have the option to opt out of this step at their discretion). Unenrolled but qualified professionals can likewise apply to be included into the RITN (conditional upon their self-identification as women or proof of Indigenous status). The resultant database of individual worker profiles will be made accessible to all interested corporate entities who enroll in the RITN.

This service is provided particularly with the Diversity and Inclusivity (D&I) divisions of Human Resources departments in mind, for whom the RITN will serve as a streamlined and centralized option for locating IT professionals whose presence advances ethical commitments to workplace diversity, and whose qualifications and skill sets are simultaneously on the cutting edge of industry standards for the target role.
